The staff of 15 full-time teachers at Tecun Uman has an average experience of 20 years.


At Tecun Uman, our teachers are career professionals, fully trained and university educated. Every one of our teachers has graduated from a Guatemalan university with a certificate in teaching Spanish as a Second Language.

Our staff has been carefully selected based on their educational training, experience in teaching Spanish, and their qualities of friendliness, kindness, and patience. We believe there should be a good working-relationship between our teachers and our students, so if at any time a student does not feel comfortable with a particular teacher, there is no problem in changing.
